Rightmove

logo Mobile Web

Mar 2011

This site is lightweight, engaging, and provides an ideal companion to Rightmove’s desktop offering. Users can search for properties, create lists of favourites, and easily generate alerts based on their location and ideal property characteristics.

Visuals

  • Branding is well integrated using high-contrast background colours and simple accent graphics.
  • Varied layouts and strong information design complement key content areas such as keyword search results, property details, and the image gallery.

Interaction

  • Navigation is initiated through a predictive-text assisted keyword search. Users are then presented with a list of initial results, enabling them to further specify the city or neighbourhood of their choice.
  • A persistent back button enables navigation between the content areas that describe each property. Controls are also provided at the top of most views, enabling users to save a property, or create an email alert based on their current search parameters.

Overall

  • Users who log in to the site can create lists of favourite properties and request email updates.
  • On devices that support GPS, initial search parameters can also be pre-populated based on the user’s current location.
  • Quick access to the web site is also facilitated through a launcher application, available on Ovi Store.
Nokia Developer aims to help you create apps and publish them so you can connect with users around the world.
