Jobsite Job Search

logo Application

Jun 2012

Developed for Windows Phone, this application enables users to browse more than 40,000 UK jobs. The application includes a full-featured search along with interview tips from top entrepreneurs and business leaders.

Visuals

  • The user interface is bright, high contrast, and well aligned with the Jobsite brand.
  • The application uses the native Segoe font, ensuring a clean, light, and open look.
  • Buttons, dialogues and iconography use the default Metro UI look.
  • Users can save favourite jobs or forward them using email or SMS by tapping icons on the application bar.

Interaction

  • Users can navigate between the app's four primary panels using a swipe gesture.
  • Accessing job content begins with a search. Search result panels contain a scrollable vertical list, including top-level information for each job. Jobs can be further sorted by date or salary using a series of pivot control.
  • Users can navigate back from all views using the dedicated hardware key.

Overall

  • Search results are augmented using a dynamic, predictive text interface.
  • The application also helps users prepare for interview with tips and from top organisations and bosses like Duncan Bannatyne and BSkyB.
