Platform releases
Nokia has released several editions of the Series 40 platform, and each edition has typically had specific tools. As such, it is important to check the platform edition capabilities when targeting specific older Series 40 phones.

In addition to the range of Series 40 software editions, the Series 40 family contains phones with a range of different hardware capabilities.
