He’ll demonstrate the new features, including the back button and camera API, and he’ll share tips and tricks for developing Nokia Asha web apps with both the new Nokia Asha UI and user experience in mind. He’ll also show you how seamlessly web apps work across the new Nokia Asha platform 1.0 and previous Series 40 Developer Platform releases. We suggest that you install Nokia Asha web app tools 3.0 (beta) before the webinar begins. You won’t need the tool to learn a lot from this training session, but you’ll learn more if you have already installed it and can practice with it soon afterwards.

What’s new in Nokia Web Tools 2.3
We’ve recently updated two great tools for building Series 40 web apps: Nokia Web Tools and Nokia Xpress Web App Builder. This webinar focuses on the Nokia Web Tools 2.3 update. Ravi Kurupati and Swapnil Johnson, from Nokia’s Xpress Browser product-management team, explain the new features. In coding demonstrations, they introduce the Nokia Web App Designer, which provides visual assistance, drag-and-drop UI components, and source code highlights when creating Series 40 web apps. They also show how to use new content-based templates to jump-start development of popular application patterns such as shopping and video browsing.
