Nokia Publisher Guide

The Publisher Guide describes how to navigate the Nokia Publish web site to submit, edit, update, and remove content for the Nokia Store. The guide also describes how you can enter metadata that will pass our Quality Assurance checks and monitor daily reports on downloads and estimated revenue. Nokia Store Content Guidelines

The Content Guidelines describe the Nokia Quality Assurance criteria that your content must meet in order to be published in Nokia Store. The guidelines describe what Nokia considers to be inappropriate as well as technical requirements for different content types. Version 1.3 of this guide is currently available for review in English. Nokia provides a one-month grace period before these guidelines go into effect. This grace period ends on 24 December 2011. Version 1.2 is currently in effect and available in these languages: Arabic, German, English, Spanish, French, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

Web Developer's Library (downloadable)

This version of the Web Developer’s Library (WDL) is compatible with Nokia's Web Browser 8.5 for MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan on the Nokia N9, Web Browser for Symbian 7.3 and 7.4, and the Nokia Browser for Series 40. It also supports S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2, S60 5th Edition, and Web Browser 7.2. This WDL version includes information on major new HTML 5 features of Web Browser 8.5: support for geolocation, browser-based multimedia, offline data storage, editable content, multi-point touch input, threaded JavaScript workers and access to the N9's orientation and motion sensors. It provides information on three-dimensional CSS transforms and other advanced animation techniques, and introduces cross-browser-compatible web applications deployed via HTML 5's application cache. This version of the WDL also adds information about Symbian Browser 7.4 and Symbian Web Runtime (WRT) 7.4. The Ovi Browser name was changed to Nokia Browser for Series 40, and the Ovi Store name was changed to the Nokia Store. This WDL update introduces Series 40 web apps version 1.5, which supports core features of the W3C Geolocation API for location-aware web apps, full-screen display, web app image caching, an updated user interface, and the ability to send SMS. The Best Practices Guide for Series 40 Web Apps and the Instructions for Publishing Your Web App are significantly updated. A new version of Nokia Web Tools that is built on Eclipse is introduced for Series 40 web apps. Extract the .zip file to any folder on your computer and click eclipse.exe to access the library.
