Additionally, for the software developers, the device includes Qt 4.7.3, Java MIDP 2.1 and Flash Lite 4.0. The Nokia N8-00 brings also compatibility with popular internet video formats and desktop Flash. With optimized video streaming and playback support, Nokia N8-00 provides a fantastic platform for bringing your favorite TV and other video services to a mobile computer. We have released a customizable open source Web TV app template. The template has been created and used in a collaboration with dozens of globally acclaimed broadcasters.

These are the Qt SDK 1.1.4 installers. This update of the SDK provides a full release of the MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan target and updates to Symbian Anna and Belle targets, along with Qt Mobility 1.2. The SDK provides for coding, testing, and building Qt apps on Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Apple Mac computers.
Carbide.c++ is an IDE for developing Symbian C++ and Open C/C++ for Symbian devices. Version 3.2 is available, offering support for S60 5th Edition and Symbian^3 software development, a lightweight installer, and extension plug-ins for additional features.
Now including a beta version of the Symbian Belle SDK, the all-in-one SDKs enable application development using Qt, C++, Java™ technology, and web technology. Each SDK includes all the key resources needed for application development, such as documentation, API reference, examples, and an emulator. An IDE is not included.
