Short bio:
Born in Syracuse (Sicily) and lived in Solarino (near Syracuse) until 2005, when I moved to Milan. Master's degree in Computer Science, awarded July 30, 2003 at Università degli studi di Catania ( Italy ) and a Thesis on " A Computer Vision system to support road conditions " (Supervisor Chiar.mo prof. Giovanni Gallo ) I started working on projects using computer graphics algorithms. Moved in Milan I started one of the biggest projects I worked on: I developed a local search engine from scratch in C / C++, which was used by the most important Italian local search companies, as PagineUtili, Virgilio Local (Telecom Italy), Iakké and currently by 892000.it, the Vodafone Italy local search service. In 2008 I worked on a project focused on SEO (Search Engine Optimization) where using my knowledge of Computer Graphics's data structures and Genetic Algorithms was born Genesis. During the development of this project, I discovered the Qt framework and since then has been increasingly used in all my projects. In 2010 given my background on Qt and C++ and being a Nokia fan, I started my adventure in the development of Mobile Applications using Qt Mobility from very early version. Qt is still my favorite platform. From September 2011 I started developing on the Windows Phone platform. NFC is one of my favourites tecnologies. In the near future I hope I'll be alble to publish the search engine porting on Qt and WP7 platforms and NFC projects.
