Designing for Nokia platforms

Depending on what your core technology is you have lots of alternatives when it comes down to choosing the Nokia platform to target for. Series 40, Symbian, and MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan offer a range of development options. As there are differences in the user interfaces, interaction and navigation between the three platforms, there are also separate sets of design guidelines to follow.

This section provides short introductions to the latest Nokia platform user interfaces and pointers to platform specific guidelines for developing applications for Series 40 Touch and Type, Symbian, and MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan.

In addition, if you want to develop for Windows Phone on Nokia devices, we have compiled a selection of links from Microsoft to help you get started.
