The Series 40 platform SDKs enable you to quickly and efficiently create and test Java™ applications, as well as browser content, multimedia messaging service (MMS) content, and, where supported, Adobe Flash Lite content and applications. To facilitate this, each SDK includes an emulator, Java APIs, documentation, code examples, and debugging tools. These tools are then combined with your favourite IDE to create, compile, and package applications and content. Testing can then be conducted on a PC using the emulator.

The final release of the Nokia SDK 1.0 for Java is available. This SDK supports the development of apps for Series 40 6th
Edition, Feature Pack 1 phones. Later, this tool will provide a one-stop solution for developing applications on all future
Nokia platforms supporting Java.
