The Browser Controlling Plug-in enables developers to launch specified URLs inside the browser of the Series 80 Platform emulator and connected Nokia 9500 Communicator and Nokia 9300 Smartphone from the command line of the PC. The controlling plug-in consists of PC and device side components that simplify the communication between the browser (both in the device and emulator) and the development environment on the PC.

Web application developers will benefit from the ability to test applications on the device or the device emulator, without having to type in long URLs manually, thereby eliminating errors and providing a smoother development workflow. Developers using IDEs for development can easily integrate the command to launch URLs into the IDE to enable a faster develop, deploy and test cycle.
