The Extensions Plug-in 1.1 for the S60 5th Edition SDK for Symbian OS is now available. This updated release provides an additional seven APIs, to add a total of 50 APIs to the S60 5th Edition SDK. The new APIs focus on providing support for the MPX framework, a new framework for multimedia applications.

Description
The Extensions Plug-ins for S60 SDKs for Symbian OS extend the features of an S60 SDK. These extensions offer improved device emulation and support for additional functionality that is included in shipped devices or is specific to a certain device. As a result, the plug-ins enable a greater range of applications to be built and tested using the S60 device emulator supplied in the S60 SDKs.

Notes
The APIs included in the extensions plug-ins are not part of the S60 platform. Therefore, source compatibility with future releases of the S60 platform is not guaranteed.

Editions
Extensions plug-ins are provided for:

• S60 5th Edition.
• S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2.
• S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1.
• S60 3rd Edition.
