Web Runtime: FNReader Widget Example

The FNReader Widget Example is a simple WRT application for RSS feed reading. It demonstrates how to use the Online/Offline API, enable the home screen view, and use the Nokia Mobile Web Templates in a WRT widget. With the help of the Online/Offline API, the FNReader widget informs the user whether there is an active connection, the connection is accessible, or the widget can not establish a connection, e.g., if the user has put the home screen to offline mode.

UI elements from the Nokia Mobile Web Templates are used in many parts of the FNReader. This reduced the time to design a coherent look for the widget and allowed the developer to concentrate on the implementation issues.

The application is compatible with Symbian^3 and Symbian S60 5th Edition devices (homescreen support only in select devices).
