The Early Series 40 Device SDKs are for use in creating Java™ applications, as well as messaging or browser content, for specific early Nokia Series 40 devices. Each kit consists of an emulator, APIs, documentation, and examples. Applications are created, compiled, and packaged using a compatible IDE. The application is then imported into the SDK emulator, where its behavior can be verified. Multiple instances of an SDK emulator can be run to verify an application's connectivity features. The SDKs also provide browser and MMS emulation for developers of Web and messaging content.
