Users expect Nokia Maps-based applications for their full-touch phones to have a user interface that is simple, intuitive, and easy to use. In this webinar, Jason Fox of Nokia’s Location and Commerce team in Berlin will show you how to extend the basic UI of the Nokia Maps API for Java™ ME. You’ll learn how to build Series 40 touch applications by creating and combining custom map components. The webinar will discuss the technical considerations for creating a new map component and will introduce a series of map-component examples that involve visual, tactile, and audible feedback. Jason also will demonstrate how to embed map components in an existing application and will discuss how to maintain backward compatibility.
