Users of a mobile platform expect consistent behaviour from the various apps on their phones. When porting an application to a new platform, you need to know what the user expectations are and adapt your UI accordingly. You may also need to adapt the UI components you use or the ways in which you use them. UI components present on both platforms may behave differently on the two platforms, or some components on one platform may not be present on the other.
