The Maemo 5 SDK update 7 is available. This version of the SDK provides developers with the software delivered in the sixth software update to the Nokia N900 mobile computer (PR 1.3, version 10.2010.36-2). For developers, the main feature of the update is the inclusion of Qt 4.7.0. and Qt APIs for Mobile Development 1.0.2. 
Note: For developers who have already installed an earlier version of the SDK (update 3 or later), the update can be obtained using the apt package management tool in scratchbox.

Description
The Maemo 5 SDK enables developers to create applications for Nokia devices based on Maemo 5, such as the Nokia N900 mobile computer.
The SDK includes all the tools developers need to write, test, compile, and package for distribution Maemo 5 software, on a Linux based computer.

Developers wanting to use a Microsoft Windows or Apple Mac environment should visit the Maemo SDK Virtual Image or Maemo Application Development and Debugging Environment (MADDE) projects.

Available runtimes
The Maemo 5 SDK enables development of applications for the following runtimes:

• Qt framework.
• C.
• C++, using the Maemomm C++ binding.
• Python, using Python for Maemo or PySide.
