  • Tools for Symbian, MeeGo, and desktop apps, including the use of native APIs.
  • Device binaries to enable apps created with the SDK to be run on Symbian phones.

News
Qt SDK 1.2.1 is available and provides updates that improve support for developing apps for the Nokia N9 smartphone, including:

  • landscape and portrait orientation support in the Simulator.
  • the Qt Quick Components used in the phone.
  • three QEMU images: one each for PR1.0, PR1.1, and PR1.2.

Updating your SDK
Obtain this update by running Update Qt SDK from the Qt SDK application folder on your computer.

Note for Qt 4.6.3 and Qt 4.7.3 development
Qt SDK 1.2.1 contains only the latest targets for developing applications for Symbian platforms. If you wish to work with Qt 4.6.3 for Symbian or Qt 4.7.3 for Symbian^3 and Symbian Anna please use Qt SDK 1.1.2. Once you have installed Qt SDK 1.1.2, to enable use of the earlier targets and App TRK, don’t run the SDK update as this will remove the features you need.

Please be aware that if you want to use Qt SDK 1.1.2 and the latest Qt SDK on the same computer, you should install them into separate user accounts.

Important information for apps targeting Symbian Belle
Please note that apps built with the Qt 4.7.4 Symbian Belle target must be identified as being for Belle phones only when submitted to Nokia Store. For more details see here. For applications you wish to distribute to all Qt 4.7.4 enabled phones, we recommend you build against the Qt 4.7.4 Symbian Anna target.

Installation
Qt SDK 1.2.1 cannot be installed as an update to Nokia Qt SDK 1.0, the Qt SDK must be installed separately. To install on an Apple Mac, Xcode is required.
