Qt SDK 1.2.1 is available and provides updates that improve support for developing apps for the Nokia N9 smartphone, including:
Updating your SDK
Obtain this update by running Update Qt SDK from the Qt SDK application folder on your computer.
Note for Qt 4.6.3 and Qt 4.7.3 development
Qt SDK 1.2.1 contains only the latest targets for developing applications for Symbian platforms. If you wish to work with Qt 4.6.3 for Symbian or Qt 4.7.3 for Symbian^3 and Symbian Anna please use Qt SDK 1.1.2. Once you have installed Qt SDK 1.1.2, to enable use of the earlier targets and App TRK, don’t run the SDK update as this will remove the features you need.
Please be aware that if you want to use Qt SDK 1.1.2 and the latest Qt SDK on the same computer, you should install them into separate user accounts.
Important information for apps targeting Symbian Belle
Please note that apps built with the Qt 4.7.4 Symbian Belle target must be identified as being for Belle phones only when submitted to Nokia Store. For more details see here. For applications you wish to distribute to all Qt 4.7.4 enabled phones, we recommend you build against the Qt 4.7.4 Symbian Anna target.
Qt SDK 1.2.1 cannot be installed as an update to Nokia Qt SDK 1.0, the Qt SDK must be installed separately. To install on an Apple Mac, Xcode is required.
The Qt SDK is available in the following versions and installation packages:
1 – Installation on FAT32 partitioned drives under Windows is not supported.
2 – The Qt SDK can be installed on Ubuntu Linux 8.04 or later, however Qt 4.8 is not supported in versions earlier than 10.04.
Each installer is available in offline and online versions. The offline installers contain the entire Qt SDK, while the online versions download the software when run on your computer.
SHA1 checksum values for the installers can be found here.
While every endeavour has been made to deliver the Qt SDK defect free, if you encounter a bug please report it through the Qt bug tracker , please follow the guidance for reporting Qt bugs. Remember, the more detailed the bug reports you provide the greater the possibility that your reported bug will be fixed.
